ACDB Panel
AC-side hub for a solar system — distributes inverter output and protects against surges and faults.
An ACDB Panel (Alternating Current Distribution Box) is a crucial electrical panel, especially in solar systems, acting as a central hub to receive AC power from an inverter, distribute it to loads (appliances/grid), and protect the system with components like MCBs, fuses, and Surge Protection Devices (SPDs) from overloads, surges, and short circuits, ensuring safe and efficient energy flow. Components: AC MCB/MCCB/fuse for overcurrent protection; AC SPD for sudden voltage spikes; an isolator for manual disconnection; an energy meter to measure electricity. Often includes energy meters to track power generation and consumption, and provides a single point to manage multiple AC circuits. ACDB sits between the inverter and the AC loads/grid, while a DCDB sits between the solar panels and the inverter, collecting DC from the panels before inversion.
